Summary

This project focused on cleaning and restoring natural cedar shake siding for a home in Chester. The homeowner wanted to lift years of organic buildup and weathering stains without risking damage to the wood or nearby plants. Given the property's water supply limitations, we also arranged for a large-volume water delivery to keep the work moving smoothly.

The Work

Protected surrounding plants and pre-wet surfaces to prevent damage
Applied an eco-friendly, wood-safe cleaner designed for cedar siding
Used a low-pressure rinse to remove stains, mildew, and buildup
Coordinated and staged 3,500 gallons of trucked-in water to support uninterrupted cleaning

The Outcome

The cedar shakes regained their natural tone, and the buildup was safely removed without harming the wood or landscaping. The home’s exterior now looks refreshed, and the wood is ready for future sealing or staining.
